Overview

Tropoja is more than a destination—it’s an experience of raw beauty, welcoming people, and a deep connection to nature. Whether you come for a multi-day trek, a cultural exploration, or a peaceful retreat in the mountains, this corner of Albania will leave you enchanted.

Tropoja has something for everyone! Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast seeking adrenaline-pumping activities, a traveler looking for an authentic escape, or a foodie, Tropoja promises an unforgettable experience.

Tropoja is home to Valbona Valley National Park, one of Albania’s most breathtaking natural wonders. With its towering peaks, lush forests, and glacial rivers, the park is perfect for hiking, trekking, and nature photography. The Valbona to Theth hike, one of the Balkans’ most famous trails, attracts adventurers from around the world.

For those who love water activities, the Fierza Lake, part of the Drin River, offers boat rides with spectacular views of steep cliffs and untouched nature. The area’s pristine rivers, such as the Valbona River, are ideal for fishing, picnicking, and simply enjoying the tranquility of the Albanian Alps.

A visit to Bajram Curri, the main town of Tropoja, offers a glimpse into Albania’s recent history. Named after the national hero Bajram Curri, the town features monuments, museums, and lively markets where visitors can experience the authentic rhythm of local life.

No visit to Tropoja is complete without tasting its delicious mountain cuisine, like fli, fresh dairy products, lamb and goat dishes and blueberry jams. Pair these dishes with a glass of locally made raki and you will never want to leave this place.

This tour offers a well-organized itinerary that includes stunning ferry rides, traditional meals, comfortable accommodations, and opportunities to explore Valbona’s enchanting landscapes, riverbeds, and waterfalls.
